Amwell View School's Community Class (8 pupils and 3 staff) have logged distances in the school fitness

suite and whilst walking in the local community as a parallel activity to the HSP's Charity Challenge 2026.

An average of 5.95km's per person per day was achieved over the three days (9-11th February) leading

up to the HSP Charity Challenge today (12/02/2026) where there Charity Challenge has a total target

distance of 237km.

The total distance the Community Class pupils and staff managed to achieve was 196.35km's (5.95km x

11 people = 65.45km x 3 days = 196.35km). The class teacher Laura Wing said “The pupils and the staff in

Community Class rose to the challenge, we included our daily steps and the distances on the treadmills

in the school's fitness suite, during the morning and the afternoon sessions.”
